I found this one at a shop close to home, and know that it had just been retrieved, along with some other cat related objects, from the estate of a cat fanatic. Later 20th century I think, papier mache with polychrome. I think the faces on the cats--and their long tails, too--are pretty great, and the exuberant but also cozy feeling patterned yellow chair feels total proud "cat lady" to me.
10 1/4" t x 4 3/4"w (measured on the square to either end of the tails) x 5 1/2 deep. Very good vintage condition, sound and pretty sturdy.
