Folk Art Painting on Tin Lid with Boaters, Mountains, Teepees, Camp Fire

Regular price $50.00

It takes a very close view to fully appreciate some of the details on this one, but I think it's pretty great just on its face. I believe the lid was likely to a paint can--it's about that size--and of course I love a painting made on whatever happens to be sitting around. A close up view reveals the boaters to be Native American, wearing feathered headdresses, and on the left shore bank, though fairly dark, are a pair of teepees with tall trees behind and red fire burning just to the right. Very naive and to my eye very charming.

8 9/16" in diameter. Color is better on overall view photo. A bit dirty but good condition, with next to no paint loss.
