Fierce Looking Woman with Fierce Looking Dog, 1890s Photograph

What a pair these two. She looks to me as if in complete control of her realm, and with a hundred plots in motion (I keep thinking of the matriarch on Peaky Blinders!), and this dog her loyal and fiercely protective companion, charged with keeping enemies at bay. A really terrific photo I think, down to the blur of the dogs face, lending an added ferocity to that gaze and bared teeth!  With that studded collar just perfect.
