Talk about patina! This wonderful little wooden stool shows at least 150 years of love and several layers of paint below its current (perfect) orange, topped with a thick coat of varnish or shellac. All of this adds up to one of my very favorite finds of late, a fantastic pop of color, and the perfect display pedestal for all sorts of things--though of course it's great as a stool, too!
Industructible I think--sturdy as could be, and with terrific old fat nails still showing on the top. 13 1/4" long x 6 5/8" tall and wide.
