I recently purchased a huge lot of old Color Cubes--the majority of them here, but a second set listed today too, extra old ones, easy to differentiate by the character of the white. Flipping these all to the white sides while I sorted made me realize how completely gorgeous and painterly these creamy whites are too--and all the more so when there are 160 of them laid out in a huge grid. Having so many also lends itself to layering blocks on top of blocks, thinking about building pattern in three dimensions. I've bought and sold a lot of these (though never as large a set as this) and must say my love and admiration for them only grows; if I were stranded on a desert island with just a few things to sustain me, these would absolutely be in my bag!
Cubes 1 1/16" cubed. All in very good condition. 160 plus I'll include a few extras.
