Extra Early, Extra Beautiful Set of 56 Color Cubes (Cool White Paint)

I recently purchased a huge lot of old Color Cubes, which, as a devotee and connoisseur of Color Cubes, I could tell included some extra old ones, which I separated our from the rest to make this set of 56. The character of the wood and paint on these is just a different thing, and the whites a much colder white. I love these for so many different reasons--fodder for creating an endless variety of beautiful patterns for sure, but this week I was especially struck by them for their very painterly properties, completely satisfying arranged, say, with just the white sides showing and set at the center of the table like a modernist grid.

Blocks each 1 1/16" cubed. All in beautiful antique condition.
