I love a portrait of a man with a cat in his lap, much harder to come by than portraits of people with their dogs, and to my mind of a very different ilk. And I love that our man--identified on reverse as Eugene Coolidge--has left plenty of room for another companion or two beside him! Great note on the back, too--specifying this as a yellow cat, and the location the "tea room" in Bristol NH. Charmer(s)!
