Dog with Blue Tassel, Charming 19th Century Pastel Drawing on Card

This 19th c. pastel drawing popped from all the way across the room--that blue is just electric, and how much better for that wonderful tassel to be hanging from the mouth of this very charming dog! I love everything about this, which I take for a sort of "sandpaper" drawing, made by adding marble dust to the surface; there is not much shimmer to it, but there is a definite sandpaper like texture to the surface, and it is similar manner to a few colored sandpaper drawings I've had. 

10" x 8", pastel on card, very good condition with a terrific presence.
