Daffodils, Watercolor on Cut Paper, c. 1940

I'll never resist a lovely floral watercolor and here is another--with the almost circular gray cut paper ground elevating those white petaled daffodils to a higher level of elegance and resolve. Really lovely, and would be especially beautiful I think in a black stained, fairly wide edged frame.

9" x 7 1/8". Looks to have been extracted from a scrapbook, with the date of 1940 on the reverse. Good condition, watercolor, with light smudges/a few small stains at the bottom corners of the backing paper, not detracting.
