I have no idea the story behind this one, or how it came to have barnacles all over it, but I'm pretty happy that it exists! Jesus and his cross seem to be made of ceramic material or perhaps some sort of concrete (it's not especially heavy though), which I'd have to think was immersed in the sea for some time such that these barnacles would grow all over it. And at some point in the process it was painted gold, too, which is most pronounced on his face and upper arms, but appears all over. What a thing! Happily, there's a wire loop at the top of the back for hanging it.
12 1/4" t x 6 1/2" widest x 2" deep. It's definitely got some age to it and is all the better for it; no cracks, notable chips or other issues.
