This one is lot about patina and presence and feel in the hand, but also about the form of the carving, which has a sort of voluptuousness to it, and especially that sort of half-ball, atop which the fully round one can rest when turned right side up. I find its protrusion quite satisfying, as if it were in the process of pushing its way out of the wood and into the world. The mother and child of whimsies!
5 1/2" t x 1 3/4 and in very good condition, with a terrific softness to the curves and surface patina.
