I found these hanging side by side on a wall and they just struck me as beautiful things to display that way--the long necks of the swans together forming an upside down heart with front sides facing. These were once the arms of a chair, and a fun chair it must have been. I am pretty certain they were hard-carved, as there is variation among the faces, and a little surface roughness on the inside of the curves of the necks. My photos of these are not great but I think they're lovely things.
Each measures 22 5/8" l x 5 1/2" widest x 1 3/8" d. One of them shows loss at the very bottom end. Otherwise good condition. I believe the wood is mahogany.
