I've lately been having fantasies of a huge antique wooden desk with lots of surface for all sorts of old school desk accessories, in large part as a result of finding wonderful objects like this brass duck-shaped clip! Nice and heavy and super useful, it would be great on a desk but also has a hole for hanging on the wall.
I have not attempted to polish this clip as I like the patina. While its surface shows signs of age and wear, I think these add to its character. While closing just a tiny bit off center as shown in the photos, the clip works great, with a nice tight grip.
