A stunner of an antique photo I think, of a young man I take for a butcher, with huge axe resting on one elbow, what looks to me like a variety of knives hanging from the opposite hip, and giant steer head hanging on the wall. (The ears still on it.) With a studded leather belt with buckle that looks to me like the head of a fox. I especially love the vertical stripe pattern formed by the wood of the wall behind him, with horizontal iron hinge above his head cutting across like an arrow.
2 3/8 x 3 3/8 and in good condition, with general wear that just makes it moodier. Very early 20th c. I believe.
