Just recently I've been paying some attention to antique and vintage glass advertising paperweights-- most of them not of much interest to me, but occasionally one comes across one with a really interesting or unusual graphic. Like this one! I believe it is Bauhaus era, made by the Aktlen Industrial Glass Company in Dresden, Germany c. 1920s-30s, with the red lettering printed on transparent film suspended inside the glass, and then a layer of wire mesh below that. Feels super modernist to me, grid and lettering and all, a very excellent looking thing.
5 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/4" and in very good condition, with green felt on the underside, clean and crisp.
