Antique Black Lacquer Snuff/Trinket Box with Silver "K"

Just a simple one, but a lovely one, with nice lines and a silver “K” on the underside of the lid, which of course makes this Kate like it all the more. I believe a snuff box but a slightly larger scale one, which makes it useful one for holding rings or earrings or pills or whatever. Lacquer over wood I think rather than papier mache as it is harder and thinner walled. One can never have too many pretty little boxes, I say!

4” x 1 5/8 x 1 5/8 t and in excellent antique condition.
