I found this one together with the "toilet of girl" magic lantern slide I just listed, and find it quite striking too. I believe it is a paintbrush our woman holds in one hand and a palette in the other, making her both subject and actor here, bringing color to the neo-classical interior in more ways than one. Terrific details everywhere if one looks closely, including a couple of gold griffins perched on high in the background. There is some degradation to the hand-colored image which I think rather adds to the effect, as if the highly constructed architecture were beginning to crumble around her.
4" x 5" x 7/16". Good overall condition with deterioration to the image as detailed.
