This was loose among a larger lot of 19th century perspective drawings, including a full notebook (listed a few weeks ago and still available as of this writing.) I find this one quite satisfying in a stand alone way--for the combination of structures, and maybe especially the combination of free standing and hanging signs. And the descriptive titles--"The square, the parallelogram, rectangle..."; "Trapeziums, Rectangles, Parallelograms," sound like poems to me! Plus a corrective note at top: "The ground line of this chimney should be brought to the ground line of the house," which makes it feel as if still alive in the mind of its maker.
8 3/8" x 6 7/8", very good condition, feels bright and crisp.
