Old Tin Spinning Top with Excellent Hand-Painted Color

I'm a sucker for old spinning tops--for me as much a vehicle for great color as anything else--and this appears an early one, with hand-painted rather than lithographed color. I haven't had much luck getting it spinning but haven't tried very hard--there are push starters that will fit over the stem of ones like this, though an expert flick of the wrist on a flat surface might do just as well. Personally, I'm very content just to set it somewhere to look at.

4" in diameter. General surface wear and paint loss as evident, I think just the perfect amount in this case.
