Birds and Berries and Bee, 1916-17 Austrian Ink and Watercolor Hand-drawn Postcard

Old hand-drawn postcards are among my very favorite things, and I've been looking extra hard for them lately--just the best little original artworks, accessible and easy to pop in a frame. I would guess the A Hoffman who signed this ink and watercolor of two birds together carrying a bunch of cherries drew more than a few; it is beautifully done. And an embodiment of the spirit of cooperation seems especially welcome these days! With a wonderful little bee/wasp buzzing around too.

5 1/2" x 3 1/2", good condition with just some light toning spots around the edges.  Handwritten message in German on reverse, mailed to Vienna.
