I was reading in the NYT this morning about the closing of Metro Pictures gallery, which became a force in the 1980s showing the "Pictures Generation" artists--Cindy Sherman, Louise Lawler, Richard Prince, etc. I've had this drawing sitting around for a bit and for whatever reason it jumped to mind, I think because this woman looks very early 80s to me, and also a bit like a gallerist, and also perhaps more as if drawn from a film still than from life. Anyway, I really like her, and here she is!
7 5/8" x 4 3/4" and in very good condition, with another partial drawing on the reverse which does not show through.
