I bought this one in Pennsylvania a couple of months ago, and that is surely where it originated. I just couldn't resist the beauty of the lettering, and the color (oh, the richness of that red) on this. I believe I am correct that the last name is Moller (fraktur lettering can be a bit of a challenge for me!) and have found a few Mollers in PA but have not definitively placed her. Surely Elizabeth didn't have many possessions, but prized the ones she did, this I presume the bookplate from her bible.
5 3/8" x 4 1/4", ink and watercolor on wove. A bit of loss along the center fold and edges as evident but not especially fragile. Color all the better in hand.
