What I know about model boats is next to nothing, but I find this old wooden hull hugely beautiful in all of its wear and weathered-ness, and its lines really elegant, reminding me most, really, of Inuit hide canoes. Clearly it once had a sail, or two, and perhaps functioned as a pond boat, I'm really not sure. I just think it is wonderful exactly as it is--photos give a pretty good sense, though the old painted surface is so much better in person, and it has quite an rich presence.
19 3/4" l x 4 3/4" w. There is a piece that was once nailed to the back, which can be fit on (original nails fit into original holes) or remain off. I kind of like it better without, but I'll send that piece along. With it on, it is 3 1/2" t; otherwise 3" t. Photos show it both ways.
