Provoking a similar sense of creativity and possibility as a brand new box of crayons, this is an excellent condition 1948 copyright Color-Aid Set of 202 color swatches. Color-aid Corporation first created its color guide system of colored paper for photographers, but once the Color-aid paper system was discovered and adopted by Josef Albers it became a much employed teaching tool in art and design classes. On the backs of each swatch are indicators of color, shade or hue, which correspond to the color wheel diagram included in the front of the pack.

This early set was sold by George Smith Artists' Materials, Boston, MA, stamped on one of the early pages. 5 1/16" x 3" x 1 5/8" thick and in excellent condition.
