Mid 19th Century Hand-carved Doll Bed in Beautiful Old Blue-Gray Paint","description":"\u003cp\u003eI've had this one sitting around for a bit...on my first try documenting it, photos did not at all convey its charms, but I gave it another go this week, and maybe these are a little better, if not the best. It's an old one, and a super sweet one, found at Brimfield if memory serves. With the headboard and baseboard inserting into the posts by tongue and groove, and the perimeter held together by tiny square nails at the corners. With lovely carved in ends to the four posts, and wonderful shape to the headboard and baseboard. And in nice old paint, which I'd describe as a sort of dark blue-gray, showing some red here and there underneath, but I think that may be a product of pigment separation. With a thin pine bed board running its length, just, and cut in at the corners to fit. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e5 5\/8\" x 3 7\/8\" x 5 3\/8\" t. There is an old glue repair to the bed board, as documented, and some top edge and surface roughness to the baseboard and headboard, also as documented, which feel all of a piece with it to me.
