And, very often, one finds them in their original frames. And, as a lover of naive 19th century watercolors, the earlier the better, the connection between these and what shows up in those is very strong!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eThis actually seems a scarce example, published by J.L Marks in London, much better known for satirical prints and political cartoons. Hand-colored wood engraving, 1830s-40s, in its original painted wooden frame indeed, with original glass and wood back. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e10 5\/8\" x 8 7\/8\" under original glass in original frame. All in good condition. A small wire loop was added to the very small existing wire hanging loop that I have not removed.
