The \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eHupa, Karuk and Yoruk people, of the Klamath and Trinity River regions,  are renowned for their finely woven, utilitarian, and ceremonial baskets that showcase intricate geometric designs and exceptional craftsmanship. C\u003cspan\u003eonstructed of materials native to the region, t\u003c\/span\u003ehis  h\u003cspan\u003eand-woven, twined \"bowl\" features diagonal geometric designs running all the way around, composed of dark brown and black (Maidenhair fern I believe) triangles. \u003c\/span\u003eProduced primarily in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, these highly prized baskets were  traditionally used for storage, cooking, gathering, and as trade items.
