Not too long ago I was alerted to the fact that frames made for tintypes specifically are hard to find--and frames made specifically for tiny gem tintypes I think all the more so, and double so for a double frame! Sold as found with two gem tintypes in it of a part of young men, but easily popped out and replaced with others--there is a nice swing up opening on the backside, that then snaps tight back in place to hold them. Marked DRGM, and Gesch, indicating German, post 1891; I would guess no long after that.
2 1/2 w x 2 1/4 t, leg extends 1 11/16. Frame in very good condition. Left tintype especially shows some scratches.
