An excellent pitcher to display atop the old painted stool I just listed--perfectly complementary. Pitchers are my favorite form of pottery, and the combination of boxy, ribbed body, swoop of a handle, and narrow neck opening to wide lip on this one is really beautiful. Hand-thown and incised with a "R" on the underside; I have not identified the potter. Earthy modern, mid/late 20th c. I believe.
6 3/8” t x 3 1/2” d at base. 5 1/2” across at handle/spout. Incised mark “R”. Excellent condition.
