The subject of this 19th century, Spanish Colonial example is \"La Santisima Trinidad\" or The Holy Trinity, with \"\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"iNqyIf\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"rQesXe MPyX\"\u003eGod the Father\" in white at center,\u003c\/span\u003e two fingers raised and holding a scepter in the other hand, with an emblem of the sun on his chest; \"God the Son\" at left showing his stigmata (and with a bit of white in his hands likely meant to represent a lamb); and \"\u003cspan class=\"rQesXe MPyX\"\u003eGod the Holy Spirit\" at right, holding a dove.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong class=\"rQesXe MPyX\"\u003e \u003c\/strong\u003eThe three together, portrayed as \u003c\/span\u003ethree nearly identical young men, are meant to represent the one single divine essence--with the \u003cspan class=\"rQesXe MPyX\"\u003etriangles above the heads,\u003c!--TgQPHd|||[]--\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e known as \u003cspan class=\"rQesXe MPyX\"\u003etrinitarian halos\u003c!--TgQPHd|||[]--\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e or \u003cspan class=\"rQesXe MPyX\"\u003etriangular nimbuses, the ultimate symbol of that inseparable, co-equal triune. Quite richly and soulfully portrayed here I think, with color very strong and the painting feels quite lush. And of course I love some sacred geometry! \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e7 1\/8\" x 5 1\/16\".
