Intense Blushing Boy in Shorts in High Chair, Antique Hand-tinted Tintype

In his gaze, and in his posture, this boy seems to me to possess a fantastic intensity which I find quite gripping, and the image holds a sort of otherworldliness too, enhanced by the fact that his chair appears almost as if levitating!  And the glow of his hand-painted pink cheeks furthers a sense of some sort of possessed-ness! Plus those wool shorts, and hand-painted gold buttons running down the front of his dark shirt. I found this one together with the tintype of a girl in gold necklace I just listed, and think perhaps they were siblings, quite a pair. 

3 1/8" x 2 1/2". A little loss/bending to corners as evident, overall good condition and super atmospheric.
