I find that to be very much the case here, and am fairly obsessed with this one--with the second image that of a man with what look to be praying hands, standing like a spectre over this young woman, here eyes cast upward too. almost as if she's summoned him. And the black of his suit\/robe and this cascading arch of a form seem to frame her, specifically, as if a sort of alter. And then, look closely--hanging on the wall in rather an odd spot, a small portrait (or is it a reflection?!) of a man, as if in conversation with them.
