Sold just as found, an old folk art standing frame with antique cabinet card of handsome young man in suit and vest and boutonniere, umbrella in hand and resting the other on what looks like a stalagmite--but must be carved wood. I really like how the umbrella and whatever that is at his right form a triangle with his head at top, all pointing up toward the peak of the frame--and altogether evincing a sort of vernacular holy trinity. With pinprick type decoration all over the face of the frame and a nicely shaped supports on the sides.
7 3/4” t x 5 1/2 w x 2 3/16” d. Loss to the photo as evident from the reverse but as mounted one would not know.
