So finely and beautifully executed--look at the details of his hair and beard and face. The crutch like staff upon which his hand rests is a yogadanda--used by yogis and ascetics to support the arm, align the spine, and regulate breath flow during meditation. And I must say his presence is quite a grounding one--I'll be very glad to keep him around for a while or forever. This is not my expertise, but I believe early 1800s. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFramed: 14 1\/4\" x 12 3\/8\".
