Just as I believe one can never have too many beautiful boxes (or bud vases, for that matter!), so too do I think one can never have too many chests of drawers, and I've especially come to love little tabletop chests like this one, useful for stashing all sorts of little things. I really love the paint job on this one--a nice warm brown with terrific orange details outlining the drawers and punctuating the center of the handles, and then an all over pattern of leaves/flowers on the sides and top which give it sort of a Southeast Asian feel. I'm not sure the age or origins of this one, but it's definitely got some years on it, with some wear and loss of paint at the corners, and some dulling/clouding of the finish on the top. I rather think these add to its charm; really a sweet little piece.
It measures 8" wide, 5 1/2" deep and 6 1/2" tall. The bottom drawer is a bit tight but opens with a little force, and the other drawers open and close with ease.
