And it seems that at some point someone determined to fix them in place by gluing them into this pyramidal formation, seemingly according to aesthetic preference rather than any chemistry-related logic...which feels quite right to me! With two sweet unpainted ones at the base on either end, the graphite lettering on which looks at least as old as the rest. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e 8 5\/8\" w x 6 1\/8\" t x 13\/16\" d.
