Fabulous Clay Folk Art Dentist at Work Sculpture

Regular price $110.00

What I know about this piece is that it came from the estate of a dentist, who apparently commissioned it at some point, and the more I look around at figurative clay sculpture, the more I think it is likely Latin American and I think perhaps specifically Brazilian. The maker definitely captured the drama of a dentist at work, including with a nod to the stuff of a patient's nightmare, as red paint spills through their two big front teeth, and dots the nose as well! All of the details on this are great, with nothing forgotten, from sink to spitting drain to extraction tools on the table. A perfect gift for a dentist still, or for someone like me who has spent more than her fair share of time in the dentist’s chair!

5 1/4” t x 4 1/8” w x 3 1/2” and great from every angle. Excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or other issues.
