AND + ALSO Old Cast Metal Marquee Signage

Regular price $125.00

When I found these, I immediately thought they'd be right hung in the dining room, where they would feel like insertions into lively conversation. (If I could have one more, it would say "but"!) Dating to the 1930s I believe, and ,made by Wagner Sign Service inc., Chicago, they would have been used on an old theatre marquee, in conjunction with individual letters spelling out the names of movies or performers. The letters on the far sides of each features grooves, by which they would have attached to a marquee framework. Now they could easily be hung from a couple of nails, and would I think be great over the desk or in a conference room, too!

Cast aluminum with dark red enamel, chipping to the paint as obvious and these definitely spent some time out on a marquee, but structurally super sound and overall very good condition. I really like them as a pair so am listing together, but if you really want just one, let me know.

AND measures 14" long if measured on the diagonal, 11 1/8 across if hung staight and 10" tall if measured straight down from top of D to bottom of A; each letter is 4" tall and 11 and 11/6" deep.

ALSO measures 16 3/8" if measured on diagonal,  14 1/2 across x 10" tall as hung.
