I have a very deep and special love for the drawings of boys aged about 7 or 8, and specifically action scenes playing out directly on the page--just about as direct a line into the imagination as exists, completely visceral and immediate. And in a way I can't fully articulate, there feels a powerfully true and tender convergence of naivete and brutality in drawings like this. This is one of several I am listing, all by the same kid. Here I take it for a dinosaur being shot directly in the heart by the figure at center--but also by the tiny floating man at far left (perhaps the same man, who took his first shot at a much farther distance and has moved closer to follow up.) WIth great very chunky shoes.
11 3/4" x 9 1/2". Graphite on light weight lined notebook paper, very good condition, with a second drawing on reverse of what looks to be a tank, firing toward a target on high.
