The top slat on this old handmade wall box / holder is very well worn all along the top edge, telegraphing that it was much used, which is not surprising as it seems to me quite a useful thing, readily hung from two sturdy hooks on the back and perfect for holding newspapers or magazines or mail or old long-handled wooden spoons or whatever. Sturdy as can be, stained dark brown, and with sweet hand-painted yellow-green details on the decorative pieces on the front and on the sides, too.
14" long x 12 1/2" tall x 5 3/8" deepest. The sides are tapered, widest at top, narrow at the bottom. Some loss to the stain, general wear as eviden, and a small loss to the bottom right corner, but overall good, solid and sturdy condition.
