So many great old handmade pin cushions out there of wide variety, but I've not come across another quite like this little bootie. It's quite a lovely and tender feeling thing, and rather ethereal too, covered in silk that perhaps once was a very pale blue, but now shows white with a very faint blue tinge tinge. Stuffed with what appears to me to be raw cotton, or perhaps very soft wool, and with a linen sole.
3" l x 1 5/8" x 1 1/4". Stable and not fragile, with the silk worn thin but holding together just fine and lovelier for it.
