Save the Food Gouache on Board Art Student Painting

Regular price $35.00

This painting came from a portfolio of student work by a Rachel S. Roberts, c. 1918--I'd guess a class assignment from an advertising design class. Though done as a mock-graphic for the U. S. Food Administration- founded in 1917 to administer food reserves for the U.S. army and allies during World War I-- certainly the message remains relevant today, and I really love her rendering of those fish, especially!

9" x 12" gouache on board. Some stains and a few bumps and dings around the edges. Signed at lower right.
