Tree Studies, British, c. 1880s

Regular price $32.00

Two studies of trees, from a portfolio of c. 1880s sketches by a British artist of whom only the initials E.G.H are known; the "Broomfield" scrawled at the bottom of each sketch I believe refers to the location of the drawing--a hamlet in Wiltshire, England. I quite like the combination of the two studies on one page, each transporting in a different direction, while at the same time reminding me of the format of a stereoscopic card, as it the two might merge into one!

7" long x 3 7/8" tall and in very good antique condition.
