Really a beauty! Lots going on with this antique whimsy, late 19th/very early 20th century or so I would guess, but the skillfulness of the carving and beauty of the wood make it feel like quite an elegant thing. At the tip are two interlocking pieces which move to and fro, and the ball rolls around freely in its cage. A perfect one to hang by the last of the links from a nail on the wall.
13 7/8" l x 1 13/16" wide and deep. There is one clean split to one of the links, as pictured, minor; otherwise excellent condition.
