One sees a lot of these sorts of boxes around, sometimes called knife or utensil boxes, sometimes tool caddies, etc., and really handy for all sorts of things. I usually let them go, but the honest elegance and especially the old red paint on this one completely won me, and I find it really a very beautiful thing. Gorgeous aging to the paint, nice old fat nails visible around the perimeter of the underside, and not a fussy thing about it.
