I've found some other works and mentions out there of Francesca Seulitrinic, who signed and dated this drawing in 1927, including the fact that she studied at the Art Students League, and later established the Francesca Seulitrinic Art Education Fund, which has funded programs at the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis. I just fell in love with this drawing immediately, which feels as relaxed and joyful and confisdent as the nude herself looks, just wonderfully at ease. I love the plumpness of those toes too!
Drawing: 12 9/16" x 9 1/2". As matted: 15" x 12 7/8". Ink and pencil on rag paper, with a mat laid over top to which the drawing is stuck with shiny red star-shaped stickers from the back side. A new mat could easily be overlaid, or the drawing removed from the existing mat without much trouble. The drawing itself is in very good condition.
