Bill and Carl Urban's Carved and Crayoned Horse and Rider

Regular price $45.00

It's a little bit hard to read from the front (but what a great bunch of cross-outs at right!), but the back side of this reveals definitively that is was a collaboration between 5th grader Carl Urban and Bob Urban (his father one might guess), who played a "working" role. Seems likely the carving of the outlines of the drawing were was left to Bob, and that Carl was the colorist. In any event, pretty sweet results, with the blue frame around the scene having the feel of a window, as if it were glimpsed from a moving train.

13 1/2" l x 7" t x 1 1/16" thick. 1940s or so I would guess.
