Antique Graphite Drawing of Decorative Borders

I just thought this was lovely--I assume just done as a practice exercise of sorts, though perhaps working out just the right border to draw, or paint or wallpaper--or carve?-- around something special. Whatever the case, quite a lot of work went into this alone!

7 3/4” x 5 3/4”. Graphite on paper. Fairly good condition, with general smudging/soiling and unevenness to the top edge.
