Yesterday I came across a bunch of old handmade valentines, including this one, filling me with total joy. While most were surely made by young school girls, I have to think it was a mother or a teacher who made this one, as it's quite a thing! Our soldier's arm moves up and down, giving him some range: he might be ready to tip his hat, or to salute, or to wave hello or to have a rest. Pretty fun.
7 1/4" t x 3" w and in great condition. WWI era I believe.
