You can tell its flea market season when I start acquiring things like this, but how to resist the color and lines and great rusted surface? And I think it would make a pretty great pedestal for a few little things. It seems that the American toy company Louis Marx & Co. made this stove in a few different color schemes in the 1930s, some with an Little Orphan Annie sticker at the center of the top, others with a "Pretty Maid" sticker. Happily (in my opinion), the sticker is long gone, and it has acquired quite a patina over the years. Heavy, substantial, and super sturdy, and just a satisfying object.
